Lots of recipes call for Cannabis-infused butter (Cannabutter). The process is a little bit tricky and involves heating the flower slowly at a low temperature and straining the butter concoction after. We will simplify things a bit here and use a dry weed option instead.

Weed Sugar Cookies with Dry Weed

Ingredients:

Recipe makes 1 dozen medium cookies

300g of unsalted butter – softened
200g white sugar
2 tbs vanilla extract
A pinch of salt
2 eggs
500g all-purpose flour
1/4 to 3/4 ounce of dried flowers

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 325˚. Line baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Beat butter and sugar until creamy. Add the vanilla extract and beat until combined.
3. Add the salt and eggs and mix.
4. Add in the finely chopped weed in small batches and make sure it is fully mixed into the wet mixture.
5. Add the flour slowly (by the spoon full) and mix slowly.
6. Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and kneed.
7. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin and cut into shapes as desired.
8. Place cookies on to baking tray 1” apart as the dough will spread.
9. Place tray into the oven and remove when edges of the cookies are slightly brown.
10. Transfer cookies on to a wire rack until they are cool to touch.

Chocolate Chip Weed Cookies

Ingredients:

2 sticks of slightly softened butter (1 cup)
2/3 cup granulated sugar
2/3 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/3 cups of flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 slightly overfilled teaspoon baking soda
12 ounces of chocolate chip (2 cups)
¼ ounce of your favourite weed

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350˚. Line baking tray with parchment paper.
2. Blend the butter, sugar, eggs and vanilla extract at high speed until smooth and creamy.
3. Add the ¼ ounce of marijuana to the mixture and blend at high speed until it disappears into the mix.
4. Combine the flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl.
5. Add flour mixture to wet ingredients. Mix until fully blended.
6. Fold in the 2 cups of chocolate chips.
7. Drop cookie dough on to the parchment paper about 2” apart.
8. Bake for approximately 11 minutes or until a golden brown.
9. Allow cookies to cool before removing

The effects will take about ½ hour before individuals will feel the response. Dosage will vary depending on the consumer. Allow 20-30 for the response to be felt in order to better gauge your personal dosage.
